In addition to writing, I have been an active performer for over a decade, specializing in commedia dell'arte, interpretation of Shakespeare and Chekhov, and a strong background in linguistics and IPA. In my studies at Marymount Manhattan College, I chose consciously to diverge away from traditional voice and speech courses to study speech pathology to become a more well rounded and adaptive actor in dialectical training. I graduated from Marymount with a dual degree in Acting and Playwriting, and I am an Equity Membership Candidate (EMC).
Though I primarily act in my own work, such as Haywood in Southern Bedfellows at Folketeatret, Elton John in Sharon and Melina at The Tank, and Cynthia in The Lesbian Play at Marymount Manhattan College, favorite roles that I have been granted the opportunity to perform in outside of my own work include Victoria Collado's Marymount Manhattan College production of She Kills Monsters as The Narrator, Cape Fear Regional Theatre's Ladybug in James and the Giant Peach, and The Witch in the Leavenworth Theatre production of Into the Woods.
